| The question is, who was attacking her, and who was shouting out 'Jew!'? Was it the pro-mubarak armies, or was it the protesters? if it was mubarak's men, that would explain a lot. but if it was the protesters, those fighting for democracy and freedom, then the jews now have a big problem.

| I would like to think that the fact that there are now so many people shouting out for western values of freedom, democracy, equality and libery means that they are now starting to appreciate the importance of open, intelligent relationships with israel.peace is in everyone's interest. hopefully once the people realize the power of democracy, next will be the power of peace.

| I have no problem asking this question, whether things are good for the jews. the problem is that right now we have no way of knowing the impact here. it's possible that this is going to be great for Israel, because now there will be democracy-seeking forces in power, people who are reasonable and share values. on the other hand, anti-semitism is a sticky thing,and even though the arabs are throwing out dictatorship and oppression, that doesn't mean they're throwing away ant-semitism. we shall have to wait and see

| I totally agree that Jews need to be looking at this from the perspective of the Egyptians. I would just add that it would be particularly useful for Jews to look at this from the perspective of Egyptian WOMEN. This revolution has been by and about women from the beginning. The Jewish community is not immune to women's discontent and perhaps should pay heed....
